Do I need to join every year?
YES! Your membership runs through the end of the school year. Each school year a new application must be filled out and submitted with your dues.
This year we are holding a Membership Drive September 8-30. The classroom/teacher with the highest percentage of parents joining the EFPTSA will receive a prize!
Do I have to volunteer and attend PTSA meetings?
Becoming a PTSA member does not require you to attend meetings or commit to volunteering at the school. It is not the amount of time you can contribute, but rather your commitment to help our PTSA make a difference in the lives of the children.
How does my PTSA membership benefit the children?
Decades of research shows that when parents are involved, students perform better in school. It is important that we all have a voice in the decision-making process relating to the laws and regulations that affect children. You can have that voice through the PTSA. Every child needs you. You will make a difference!
How does PTSA help support Evergreen Forest?
The PTSA sponsors all of our fun school events (Back to School Block Party, Bingo Night, Movie Night, Field Day, etc.) and also provides funds to help pay for numerous other items including classroom needs, field trips, playground equipment and the Accelerated Reader® program just to name a few.
How does a PTSA membership benefit me?
As a member, you will know your PTSA membership is helping support the students and staff of Evergreen Forest. You will also have access to a PTSA membership card as well as discounts at FedEx/Kinkos, Wild Waves, Tacoma Rainiers games, Great Wolf Lodge and several other businesses.
